Vegan hair products?

I have short hair %26amp; love to spike %26amp; style it. What are some common, easy to find brands of hair styling products?

Jason, ShiKai and Kiss My Face are all brands that I can get in my local drugstores and grocery stores. I don't know for sure that ALL of their products are vegan, but each of these companies labels individual products when there are no animal ingredients and no animal testing involved.

You can find Giovanni hair products in some larger supermarkets. I *think* KMS is vegan %26amp; it's not too har4d to find either.

There are actually several others, but none come to mind @ the moment.

Just plain old aloe vera is vegan and it isnt tested on animals. aloe vera jell can be used in your hair as a hair jell but u just have to make sure its 100% aloe vera.

More seriously I would recommand to use specialized product, and support specialized store than to buy anything in supermaket. Buy doing this you help new products, vegan, to come on the market. So I will buy is such store like "LUSH" who have good product (not all vegan, but clearely mentionned when it is vegan and when not). Lush store can be find everywhere (almost).

I am a middle school hair stylist, im 13 and i do hair all the time for school events.

Well everyone knows what half up half down is so for the top layer I would grab thin pieces at the top and back comb it with a fine toothed comb all around the top but remember use hair spray every time you brush back. Then take a brush and lightly flatten the top, top layer so its back combed underneath. (this is all on the top half) Then pull it back and use a clip or hair elastic. Then Curl the bottom half. Its cute yet elegant.

I HATE my curly hair!!!! Yet others always say they wish they had it. That's cause they don't have to deal with the frizzies like you and I!!! Here's the bottom line, if you want volume but frizz control, use mousse. if you want tame and control, use a gel. Mousse and gels offer a great solution to frizz because they "bind" the hair together causing the curls to form into other curls as opposed to seperating from other hairs causing the frizz. it's basic neutrons. (Chemistry lesson). So when 50,000 people tell you to use a gloss like shine or frizz ease or whatever, DON'T waste your money, they do not work. They aren't made to fuse curls together, they're made to coat hairs with silicone. Still doesn't do anything for frizz. So if you want shiny frizz, use those products, if you want to control frizz, use a medium to strong gel or mousse. Don't go for the "light hold" it's not strong enough. And spend as much as you can for a quality gel. cheap grocery or drug store gels aren't made with quality co-polymers (plastics-yes plastics are what is found in these products to fuse hair together, it's harmless) and they flake once dried.

Pantene Smooth and Sleek Shampoo and cond, or the new Herbal Essence None of your Frizziness. I also use either Frizz-Ease or Citri-shine frizz control right after I blow dry. Hope that helps.

You should use Frizz-Ease and dry it with a diffuser. Also, try washing it that night, putting in an anti frizz product and braiding it before bed. Sleep like that and do not brush it the next morning.

just put hard gel in your hair and spike it or put it in a mohawk with gel (no need to cut it ) and wear punky clothes so no one will rwally notice your hair if you cant find a hair style but id go with the spikes

I have alot of fine, dark, long hair. I'm 23 %26amp; I have an oval face. If you have alot of long fine hair I suggest you layer it to frame your face it will compliment your face because you have an oval face make the length of the hair to the bottom of your shoulders if you can find a salon that uses the razor blade to cut your hair it really makes your hair bouncier, for shinier hair try pantene products and for the frizz a little bit of frizz ease goes a long way. Hah I like her hair too. Find a lot of texturizing mousses, but her hair probably has texture on it's own from the bleaching. If you bleach your hair, it might be way easier to get it to stay. She just has a simple pomp with the hair sticking out in the back. She prolly teases it to hell after she straightens it

you should get layers shaping your face. that way you can mousse it right out of the shower and your curls will naturally frame your face ina really pretty way. You can also buy a hair straightener (a good one, like a Chi) and straighten it once in a while. do it one day and just dont wash your hair every day. You can also wear headbands, there are so many things you can do with your hair at that length

its spring break and we're going out tomorrow, and i just decided to get a new look!

my hair is pretty straight, and i want a curly look

and like i want to get curly hair by tomorrow that won't take up too much time (cuz i need my sleep too)

and is simple and can be used with what i have

i don't have hair rollers or a curling iron all i have are bobby pins, hair clips, hair tie, hair styling mousse, and a frizz free spray

wash your hair...comb it, apply some mousse, and put it up into a tight bun. when you get up in the morning...take it out and mess with it a little. it will most likely still be a little wet, so you can apply your frizz serum. i also like to use a spray gel.

or....you could put it in braids while it is wet and sleep on them! gl;)

braids work best for me. make sure your hair is wet. it just works better that way. then tomorrow when you wake up blow dry them a little before you take them out. and ta da.

Not sure what you mean when you say that your hair isn't real long. If it is long enough to get even a tiny braid in it. I would wash it, do the moose thing with it, and put a braid in it. Then sleep in it. The next morning you should have some pretty waves from the braid. You're all set to go. Your waves shouldn't fall out for a long time.

buy those soft curlers and sleep in them. it is soooo easy and you save so much time in the morning. you just take them out and only brush the top of your hair otherwise you brush right through the curls. then use hairspray, not mousse. ive found that a great brand of hairspray is matrix hairspray. and for looser, messier curls, you separate each curl in two. it is a more casual, less shirley temple look.

then for waves, sleep in braids. (the number depending on how wavy you want your hair. i would probably recommend about eight or so) then you just take them out in the morning and just brush the top of your hair. you can use hairspray, but i usually dont need it, but then again, my hair holds waves really well......

and if you shower in the morning, scrunch your hair with mousse and it looks pretty good but might get a little frizzy.

and as for just regular hairstyles, i would try sidebangs or whispy bangs instead of thick ones......dont know about the cut i might have to see the shape of your face, sry....

you can also do buns, because they are pretty in, or low pigtails, but you might be a little old for them, but my sister in college looks cute in them so i dont know.....

as for hairbands, very cute and in!!! definitely!!!

u could wear your hair half-up, leaving your bangs down.....

no offense, having brown near your scalp and the rest is blonde is a big fashion don't, it will look nice if you just add highlights.

Try a gritty pomade...I hate that wet looking hair it's gross looking I agree...Jonathan makes a great one called dirt or if you have fine hair, try Aveda Light elements defining whip....they are water based so you won't get that wet look like oil based ones. Plus once you have put the product in your hair, try messing it up with a blowdryer on med. to high heat...this will take out some of "wet look"

The trick with fine hair is to use just a little product. Too much just weighs it down. And use stuff just for fine hair.

Actually, most styling products tend to weigh down your hair and if you've got fine hair already, that can make it worse. Also, fine hair tends to be oily. I would make sure to wash my hair every day, and to use a light conditioner (rinse it well so you're not adding more weight) and to use a clarifying shampoo once a week, unless you color your hair - because that will strip the color. There are tons of products out there specifically formulated to add body and really any of them will work. The most important thing to do is not use tons of product. Use just enough to get the job done and no more.

i am unsure as to a styling product that will work for you, but amplifying and volumizing shampoos and conditioners help to thicken my hair. my hair is not very thin, but i like the idea of having thick lustrous hair. i imagine the same would work for you. it is also good to ask a hair stylist this question, they can give you several alternatives.

I've heard that baby shampoo is actually great for really fine hair, and it comes in a lot of different scents now. A good leave-in conditioner/detangler is the Loreal kids kind--I use it a lot (stole it from my sister :). Very lightweight, and lots of fresh, fun scents (pear is my fave). I love John Freida's styling product that is part of his brunette/blonde/red hair line. It comes in a little tube, and you only need to use a little bit. It doesn't weigh my hair down like some other products, but it keep my frizzies under control, and you can't even tell it's there. Don't use gel! I tried that, and that was a big mess.

I love Garnier - the volumizing shampoo. It has always worked really well for me and the styling products are good too. Another good tip the hair stylist told me about is to Blow Dry your hair in the opposite direction for lift at the root. Good Luck!!

well, my mother taught me this great formula to make your hair thicken! it really works!

first: mash potatoes and put peanut butter in them.

second: add chocolate sauce

third: put that in your hair in a light coating

fourth: let it sit overnight (don't use a good pillow) :)

fifth: repeat for a week

the final result will be lucious thick hair! try it. it works!!!!!!

Try different kinds of clips that might have a grip or something on them. Hairspray would also help. I cant get bobby pins to stay in my hair when i do it like that. What I do is pull the section I want up in a pony tail and then put a clip over the pony tail. It works for me.

You are probably already using volumizing shampoo ect, but for the top-poof thing, try using a texturizier. If it's a solid product you rub on your hair, it'll give you the best hold to keep your bobby-pins in.

That style looks best with thin hair, lucky girl. :) It's also popular to pin hair back flat, that's whats replacing the poof on the runway this season. fyi

I have curly hair too and I love it because I can straighten it, etc. I have long layers in the back and tapering around my face (ask your stylist to explain it if you are unsure what it is). It is awesome for me because it has great body and stuff. Especially when I straighten it.... good luck! P.S. Trust me take care of your curly hair. I use to have really curly hair but after years of straightening my hair doesn't curl the same as before. Maybe you should try some different up do's. Like you can pin one side up.

Put It in a high Pony tail and use bobbie pins. You can do a half-updo and leave half down and half up in a pony tail and at the crown make sure you push it up a little so it will have a little more umph. Put it in low pigtails, Its cute when I do that.

I have the same problem with my hair. After it has been scrunched and is nice and dry, try scooping it up in a clip on the back of your head and then pulling some curls out to look kind of messy. This looks really cute. Another one that looks good on me is to take (again, after it is dry so it has some body) hair in front of your face and twist it and use a bobby pin to pin it straight back on top of your head. This looks kind of dressy. Even doing the half-ponytail-half-down style is cute, with the hair combed back into a pony and half your hair left loose underneath.

or do you straighten right after you spray? I have some kind of Tresseme heat spray to protect from heat styling damage, and if I'm gonna use it I wanna do it right. This might be obvious to everyone but me :)

you can straighten while your hair is still damp. it will probably make some steam when the wetness evaporates. normally the directions say something like spray each section. can you imagine the length of time it would take if you let each section dry as you went?

braids work best for me. make sure your hair is wet. it just works better that way. then tomorrow when you wake up blow dry them a little before you take them out. and ta da.

and as for just regular hairstyles, i would try sidebangs or whispy bangs instead of thick ones......dont know about the cut i might have to see the shape of your face, sry....

you can also do buns, because they are pretty in, or low pigtails, but you might be a little old for them, but my sister in college looks cute in them so i dont know.....

Does anybody have any suggestions on how to style my hair while i sleep? I don't have time to wash it in the morning because it takes at least 2 hours to dry and when i use a blow dryer it gets really frizzy. my natural hair is kinda crazy if i don't do anything to it and its really unpredictable. but when i scrunch a curly mouse on my hair damp i get these really pretty waves and curls. Ive tried sleeping on my stomach with damp hair with that product in but when i wake it not as pretty as it would be when i let it air dry . it gets straightened out and flat. so does anyone have any suggestions? thanks so much for reading all this lol

you know like princess laya kinda buns?? lol, (its only to bed) just put the product in your hair and then seperate it inot as many sections as you want, i suggest 2, and then twist your hair and itll start to wrap around into a bun...kinba like a cinnabun, lol...yeah, put those in your hair b4 you go to sleep and then in the morning you gget such pretty waves/curls, it works really well =D

They have 3 barrel rollers. Will make your hair wavy pretty quick. The braiding will work aswell but with a 3 barrell roller you can control where the waves are. Sometimes if you braid it will come out wrong and you would have to do it all over again. With a braid you are never sure where the waves will be after taking them out. With a 3 barrel roller you can guide it. And you see the difference right then and there instead of doing braids and hoping that the middle is dry when you take them out.
