Does anyone know: Are you supposed to let a heat styling protective spray dry before you straighten

or do you straighten right after you spray? I have some kind of Tresseme heat spray to protect from heat styling damage, and if I'm gonna use it I wanna do it right. This might be obvious to everyone but me :)

By the way, the directions don't say.

you can straighten while your hair is still damp. it will probably make some steam when the wetness evaporates. normally the directions say something like spray each section. can you imagine the length of time it would take if you let each section dry as you went?
